You want to grow your business from a place of power.

Don’t force it.

If you don’t like making videos, don’t make them.

If you don’t like writing long form, don’t do it.

If you don’t like doing daily posts, don’t.

The best content you can make is the content that feels authentic.

Writing comes naturally to me.

I used to make a lot of videos but most of the time I couldn’t be bothered to record them. They performed ok, but it felt like a chore.

I didn’t start a business to do chores. So I don't create many vids these days unless I feel inspired to.

I see this with my clients. Some of them are great in front of a camera and it’s natural to create that way.

Others are awkward in front of the camera and their content sucks if they try to force it. Or you can just tell they don’t want to be there. It lacks realness.

Just because some guru says video, podcasts, writing etc is the key, it doesn’t mean it’s your key.

People gravitate to what’s authentic. They sense realness.

They can tell if your content is coming from a place of inspiration or if it's because you're just going through the motions.

And it’ll resonate accordingly.

This is why I love outreach.

It really doesn’t matter what kind of content you create or even if you’re creating it.

Because some days, as business owners, content isn’t the priority. Shit happens. We have sales meetings to do, client work to take care of - other priorities in life.

The best way to think of content is as an accelerator of growth, not a creator of growth. Yes, it keeps you front of mind. Yes, it’s worth doing to add an extra 5%-10% to your bottom line.

But a solid outreach strategy can more than make up for days or weeks without content. Outreach is in a different category. It's not an accelerator of growth, it's a creator of growth.

It transcends other approaches not because it’s magical, but because it’s simple. It’s authentic (if done well).

Letting people know what you have is the original and oldest form of marketing.

It’s not a trend. It’s not a wave. It’s literally how humans started doing business with each other -  by having conversations.

If you’re consistently engaged in real-time conversations with people you can help, you’re good. Growth is a formality at that point.

You can’t force creativity. So don’t try to.

But you can systemize outreach from a place of power.

So if you want to maximize the number of people you help and the money you make - there’s no excuse not to let people know you’re there.

If you don't have an outreach strategy in place but know you should - hit reply and I'll send you the info on how we take care of this for hundreds of coaches so they can still grow without being a slave to content.
